Extravagant Las Vegas Suites

Las Vegas is known for its opulence, thanks to the mega-resort hotels that have cropped up on the strip ever since The Mirage first opened its doors in 1989. Since that date, not all that long ago, the level of luxury available on the strip has grown exponentially. The most recent of these mega-resort hotels to have been built is the Wynn Hotel, complete with its own golf course and Ferrari/Maserati dealership. Built at a cost of US$2.7 billion, it was the largest privately-funded construction project in the U.S.

Although the 5 Diamond Award-winning Wynn Hotel is one of the more desirable properties on the strip, there is no shortage extravagant accommodations in Las Vegas. For example, Steve Wynn's previous property The Bellagio offers the Villa One Suite for $6,000 a night. This private Villa offers two bedrooms, a private dining room, private gym and its own private entryway through a secret tunnel. Each villa features its own secret garden and the 130-person staff help make your stay a memorable one.

The Venetian Hotel offers the Presidential Suite to high rollers who gamble 6-8 million per night and $150,000 per hand. Baccarat seems to be the game of choice for guests of this suite. Although this suite seems to be reserved for only the biggest whales, If you aren't a big gambler you can opt in for the Chairman Suite for $15,000 a night. This suite features a mosaic tile entryway, trickling fountain and oriental artifacts may make you feel transported to another era, but the room's 27 televisions, karaoke room, beauty salon, spa and gym are all state-of-the-art. You also get your own private butler who is available at your beck and call, your own cleaning service, in-room spa service for emergency facial or collagen injections, and the promise of a hotel staff that will do just about anything to make you happy (as long as it is legal, of course.) A Guggenheim Art Museum offers guests of the Venetian many pieces of fine art by masters like Picasso, Van Gogh, Manet and more.

Just off the main casino floor of Caesar's Palace, past a private guarded entrance, an elevator takes invited guests to the Artemis & Neptune Villas. These indoor mansions are available to casino-invited guests only, and each villa includes its own golf simulator.

If your idea of luxury is to have premium white glove service, the perhaps the MGM Skylofts are your cup of tea. For between $800 - $10,000 a night depending on the date and other factors, you can rent one of these one, two or three bedroom suites that can be as large as 6,000 square feet with 24-foot-high ceilings. The MGM Skylofts come with unparalleled service including a butler unpacking and packing service, in which your butler will press your outfits and polish your shoes without being asked. Other services include airport transfer in a Mercedes Mayback 62, a steam room in every bedroom, and exclusive VIP restaurant + entertainment privileges.

The Four Seasons Suites which take up the top five floors of the Mandalay Bay Hotel offer a more refined and subdued setting for those guests who prefer to escape the bright lights and party atmosphere of the Las Vegas Strip. Why not retreat to the Four Seasons' Presidential Suite which features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer expansive views of a wide-open desert panorama, rather than the strip's bright lights for $3,000 per night? The four-star, five-diamond hotel offers tranquility and comfort in this one-bedroom suite, which is outfitted with a baby grand piano, a deep soaking whirlpool tub and even an espresso maker.

From subdued to over-the-top, The Palms Hotel offers several themed rooms including Las Vegas' most expensive publicized suite. At $40,000 per night, the 10,000-square-foot Hugh Hefner Suite offers a unique experience that can only be found in Vegas.

As far as the outrageously expensive Wynn Hotel is concerned, some of the more extravagant suites in this hotel are only available to casino guests and little information is available as to just how luxurious these accommodations actually are. However, if you'd rather not drop a rather large fortune in the casino to find out, you can rent a Fairway Villa at the Wynn which is available for $2,500 a night and offers cream-colored upholstered walls, rain shower and hand-blown glass sinks, plasma TVs, his-and-hers bathrooms, and an unparalleled view of the the Wynn's beautiful 18-hole golf course in a 3,000 square foot suite. Sounds like a deal.

Katikies Hotel Santorini

I would like to share here a dream of mine, which has not come true yet; it is called Katikies Hotel and is located on Santorini. When I travel, usually I do not pay attention to the accommodation, as the destination is what matters to me. Santorini Island is a unique place, which I highly recommend that everyone coming to Greece visits. And Katikies Hotel is the jewel of Santorini. Therefore I have developed some kind of obsession with this luxury hotel!

Katikies, means houses in Greek and is a word, which, unfortunately, cannot be exactly translated into English. I can just tell you that the word “katikia” provokes a feeling of warmness and cosines when you hear it - and this is also what Katikies Hotel is all about.

It was built around a decade ago in the famous village of Santorini, Oia (Ia), in a great location. The hotel is actually built on the cliff of the Santorini and has therefore magnificent view of the Aegean sea and the volcano island of Santorini. And every evening visitors can admire the famous Santorini sunset from their rooms balconies or by the pool of the hotel.

This luxury hotel is built according to the traditional Cycladic architecture, with Santorinian characteristics. The rooms & suites of Katikies Hotel look like small caves in the cliff, everything is whitewashed and connected with small stair steps. Each room of Katikies has unique minimal decoration and style and great view.

If you are waiting for a narration of my personal experience during my stay at Katikies, I will disappoint you. I have not managed to stay at Katikies yet....and nor will I be able to do that during summer 2007, as I cannot afford it. My last trip to South Africa, though great, left with less money in my bank account - but my economical status is not that interesting, so lets get back to Katikies!

As you can assume from the above, Katikies is not what you would call a "budget hotel"....it is a luxury hotel, member of the Small Luxury Hotels chain, and its rooms and suites are a bit expensive.

So, my obsession with Katikies Hotel started when I had dinner at the open air gourmet restaurant of the hotel with a friend, who was staying there, back in May 2001. The years that followed, I carefully read a lot in the internet about the hotel and planned my stay at the island. But I am a typical Greek and I decided to make a last minute reservation. The result was, that Katikies hotel had nothing available. Now I have learned the importance of early booking, and I recommend you all book your room the soonest possible, as Katikies has only 7 rooms and 15 suites!

And last but not least, I will tell you about its pool, Katikies famous infinity pool! It is very impressing, as it is constructed at the edge of the cliff.

Hi World! I am Pavlos Mirmigakos and I am here to enlighten you with all the knowledge I have gained from my traveling experience - and believe me it is a lot. This article is about my obsession, Katikies Hotel...!

To sum up ,I do not consider Katikies Hotel a 5 star luxury hotel, but a 6 stars super-luxury hotel!

Luxury London Hotels

London, besides being the capital of our nation and the pre-eminent centre of international finance, also stands out as one of the most cosmopolitan, exciting and interesting places that one could care to find oneself in. A sense of excitement permeates London and it is in every sense the archetypal ‘city that never sleeps’.

Whether you want to take in the myriad historic sites, tour the abundant museums, search quaint flea markets or dance the night away in all manner of top class clubs, you are certain to be able to sate your desire.

To get the most from the ‘London experience’ a stopover, whether it be an overnight stay or several days worth, is essential and ever increasing numbers of people are choosing to make their trip ‘special’ by booking into one of London’s luxury hotels.

A stay at a luxury hotel in London provides not only a convenient base, usually only a stones throw away from any number of attractions, but more importantly, provides that certain touch of glamour, comfort and escape from our everyday world, that we all dream about but that seldom materialises.

A surprising and gratifying fact is that a stay in one of these luxury hotels in London can actually be very inexpensive!

For the cost of a stay in a typical travel motel, you can immerse yourself in the most sumptuous of surroundings – something that will add immensely to, and set the tone for, your whole ‘London experience’.

How do you find the ideal luxury London hotel to suit you? Well, whether your criteria be location, cost, hotel facilities or even décor, it could not be easier to locate your perfect luxury hotel. One of the best places that I have come across to do this is an immensely informative and easy to use website with which you can find the ideal London ‘base camp’.

Using this ingenious site, you can search London by district, so that you can base yourself in the immediate vicinity of your preferred points of interest. The very best feature on the site is that you are clearly shown all options regarding travel to the hotel, making the planning of your trip easy and effortless. Another very nice feature I found is that you are given several hotel options for each area, so locating a luxury London hotel with all your desired facilities is all but guaranteed.

On the subject of facilities...in my mind, these, coupled with opulent décor, really make a luxury break. I was astounded to find the quality and level of facilities in all the hotels that I found available. All the hotels featured show a range of images of the interiors and some of them are unbelievable! They take you back to a bygone era of marble entrance halls and grand staircases...something that we never imagined we would be part of, but in reality is easily within our reach.

The current trend for a greater number of short holidays rather than one long holiday is something that I am certainly party to. A city break in a luxury London hotel is something that will immensely enhance your time away, and once tried, will be a permanent fixture on your annual calendar.

Condo Hotels Offer Luxury and Great Investment Potential

Not Your Typical Vacation Home

What could be more perfect that owning a luxury vacation home at a landmark resort and receiving rent revenue whenever you’re not using it? Condo hotels are the newest trend in vacation home ownership. Live in it when you’re there; rent it when you’re not.

So how do condo hotels differ from owning a traditional vacation apartment or condominium? These are not your typical second homes. They are fabulously-furnished condominium suites in some of the most famous hotels and resorts around the country. The properties are usually large, high-rise, luxury hotels operated by a big name like Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Sonesta, Starwood or Hilton. Prices range from $200,000 to over $1 million for prime properties.

Generate Revenue to Defray Mortgage Costs

How do condo hotel owners find renters? This is what makes the program so appealing. When owners are not using their unit, it is put into the rental program of the hotel. By capitalizing on a hotel’s name recognition, advertising, national affiliations, centralized reservation system and management expertise, unit owners typically receive a higher level of rental income than they would from a traditional vacation home. Plus the hotel takes care of dealing with the renters, as well as all housekeeping and maintenance of the condo hotel units. Talk about hassle-free!

The Real Appeal of Condo Hotels Is Appreciation

While it’s nice to receive rental revenue on your vacation home, the more important factor from an investment standpoint is its appreciation. Condo hotel units have been appreciating at a far faster rate than single family homes and condos in the same areas.

Most condo hotels are purchased directly from the developer. With limited inventory, condo hotel units have been moving at lightning speed. In fact, almost all condo hotels sell out in pre-construction, long before even a single spade of dirt has been overturned. And as is the case in any situation where supply is greatly outpaced by demand, condo hotel owners have been seeing tremendous appreciation in their units.

World-Famous Resorts Attract International Attention

Most condo hotels are located in seasonal resort areas. South Florida, particularly Miami Beach and Ft. Lauderdale, is one of the country’s hottest markets with world-famous properties like the Fontainbleau, Canyon Ranch Living and Trump International leading the way. Las Vegas and some of the Caribbean Islands are also popular condo hotel destinations.

Who’s buying? The answer, in a nutshell, is everyone. That is, investors and vacationers who recognize the appreciation potential of a revenue-generating vacation home. That appeal isn’t limited to U.S. buyers. The concept of condo hotels has had international appeal with buyers from Latin America and Europe competing with Americans for the best properties.

###

Learn More About Condo Hotels

Condo hotels have tremendous investment appeal in today’s market because of low interest rates and a tumultuous stock market that has investors looking for safer alternatives. Investors who take the condo hotel plunge can enjoy all the amenities of vacationing in a first-class resort while watching their units appreciate exponentially.

Hong Kong Luxury Hotels - Finding the Right One!

Hong Kong is filled with many sights, attractions, restaurants, entertainment and luxurious hotels. To find the right hotel here, you can choose which area you want to stay in, whether it be a large, glamorous city, or more relaxing scenic areas.

The northern part of island is where the city's financial, shopping, and commercial districts are located. There are many luxurious first-class hotels here, like the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Langham Place Hotel Mongkok, and many others. This is where all the popular shopping areas are located, with high-class areas like Causeway Bay, Central, and Hollywood Road. Some of most vibrant night life areas are also located here. Perhaps one of the most famous attractions is Victoria Peak, a hill which gives you a spectacular view of the city. Other attractions include museums, food, and the Star Ferry.

Kowloon is also a city area, just separated from the main island by the South China Sea. Kowloon, also has a mix of modern malls and skyscrapers, with a hint of cultural life with street vendors and markets. The very well-known Nathan Road is packed with the city's skyscrapers, shopping centres, hotels and lights. Kowloon has some great first-class hotels as well, like the InterContinental Hong Kong, Langham Hotel Hong Kong, and many more. The city gives you some spectacular views of Hong Kong Island's skyline, and is perhaps the best area to watch the dazzling Symphony of Lights, which is a daily light and laser show.

The New Territories is not as upscale as Hong Kong Island or Kowloon, but has a very scenic countryside, villages and farms, towns and industrial developments. Staying around this area would be for travellers who love beautiful scenery, and want a quieter holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are a few luxury hotels spread around The New Territories, such as Hyatt Regency Sha Tin Hong Kong, L'hotel Nina et Convention Centre, and others. Travellers can go hiking in the Sai Kung area, or simply take in some relaxing sights.

For quiet areas with more options of activities and sights, there are The Outlying Islands, which are the islands all around the territory. The most popular one is Lantau Island, which is a great getaway from the hectic city life. Lantau Island has some very luxurious hotels like the SkyCity Marriott Hotel. The islands offer you some beautiful beaches, monasteries, traditional fishing villages, and a scenic open countryside. From Lantau you can take a cable car ride to the Ngong Ping village and large Buddha statue, or take a ferry to the other islands.

The Ritz Carlton Central Park New York Hotel

The Ritz Carlton -Central Park is the epitome of elegance and luxury and is considered to be the hotel that sets the standard in New York City. From the moment you arrive at the Ritz Carlton Central Park and the white gloved doorman opens the huge brass doors and you walk into the marble and gilded lobby, you realize you have truly 'arrived'. Luxury Hawaii Beach Rentals for Fun in the Sun!

There is just so much to see and do on the Big Island of Hawaii! For example on the Kohala Coast fringes of palms and flowers, brilliant blankets of emerald green, and an occasional flash of white buildings are your only clues from the road that this black-lava coast north of Kona is more than bleak and barren. But, oh, is it! Down by the sea there are luxury Big Island vacation rentals the likes of which no Hawaiian king ever imagined. This is where the Lear jet-set escapes to play in world-class beachfront hotels set like jewels in the golden sand. But you don't have to be a billionaire to visit the Waikoloa, Mauna Lani, and Mauna Kea resorts: The fabulous beaches and abundant historic sites are open to the public, with parking and other facilities, including restaurants, golf courses, and shopping, provided by the resorts. In North Kohala seven sugar mills once shipped enough sugar from three harbors on this knob of land to sweeten all the coffee in San Francisco. Hawi, the region's hub and home to the Kohala Sugar Co., was a flourishing town. Today Hawi's quaint, 3-block-long strip of sun-faded, false-fronted buildings and 1920s vintage shops lives on as a minor tourist stop in one of Hawaii's most scenic rural regions, located at the northernmost reaches of the island. North Kohala is most famous as the birthplace of King Kamehameha the Great; a statue commemorates the royal site. It's also home to the islands' most sacred site, the 1,500-year-old Mo'okini Heiau. Waimea (Kamuela) is an old upcountry cow town on the northern road between the coasts, set in lovely country: rolling green pastures, wide-open spaces dotted by puu (hills), and real cowpokes who ride mammoth Parker Ranch, Hawaii's largest working ranch. The town is also headquarters for the Keck Telescope, the largest and most powerful in the world. There are also fabulous Hawaiian vacation rentals on the emerald Hamakua Coast - a 52-mile stretch from Honokaa to Hilo on the island's windward northeast side, which was once planted with sugar cane. It now blooms with flowers, macadamia nuts, papayas, and marijuana, also known as pakalolo (still Hawaii's number-one cash crop).

When the sun shines in Hilo, it's one of the most beautiful tropical cities in the Pacific. Being here is an entirely different kind of island experience: Hawaii's largest metropolis after Honolulu is a quaint, misty, flower-filled city of Victorian houses overlooking a half-moon bay, with a restored historic downtown and a clear view of Mauna Loa's often snowcapped peak. Hilo is also the gateway to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park; it's just an hour's drive up-slope. Hilo catches everyone's eye until it rains -- it rains a lot in Hilo, and when it rains, it pours. Hilo's oversize airport and hotels are remnants of a dream: The city wanted to be Hawaii's major port of entry. That didn't happen, but the facilities here are excellent. Hilo is also Hawaii's best bargain for budget travelers. When you're looking for the best bargains in Hawaii beach rentals come to the acknowledged experts in the field - us!

Looking for a great selection of Big Island vacation rentals? Check out HawaiianBeachRentals.com as they have the most complete inventory of Hawaiian vacation rentals including many Hawaii beach rentals at affordable prices!
